Thank you for your interest in Volunteer Frederick’s BIG Sweep! Individuals, families and representatives of nonprofit organizations - including civic groups, churches,
youth groups and schools – can participate in the BIG Sweep. This page will help you get started – here you can:
Registering your organization, club, or group is easy: download the form below (we can also fax or email you a copy) and fill it out. Once we’ve received your Participation Agreement, your organization will be registered and you can begin fundraising. When we disburse your funds, the money will be sent to the address and person you have listed on this form. (Individuals and families skip to Step Two.)

Step Two: Register as an Individual BIG Sweep Participant
If your nonprofit organization is participating as a team - or you're an individual who has chosen to support a particular nonprofit - you must fill out an individual registration form. (If you are participating as an individual, check that the nonprofit you wish to support is a participating nonprofit.) You can either register using our online form (below), or download a copy of the BIG Sweep Individual Registration Formhere.
If you are leading a BIG Sweep team, you can direct your team members to our website where they can register themselves, OR you can download the forms and hand them out to the group. Your team members should return their registration forms to you. Once you’ve registered, you’ll receive regular updates and reminders. Step Three: Attend a training session to learn more about building a team, fundraising, and what will happen on the BIG day!
We will provide several BIG Sweep informational meetings in the weeks leading up to the BIG Sweep. They are all the same - you only need to attend one! We'll give an overview of the BIG Sweep, discuss strategies for putting a team together, provide fundraising tips and give you guidelines for planning a safe clean up day on April 25! Daytime and evening trainings will be held at Volunteer Frederick: 31 W. Patrick St. Suite L-2, Frederick.

All team members are welcome to attend the kick-off breakfast at Martin's of Walkersville at the Walkersville Firehall on Saturday, April 25 from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
You can pick up your supplies at the Walkersville Firehall on either Friday, April 24, from 5:00 and 7:00 p.m. OR Saturday, April 25, during the kick-off breakfast from 7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Directions to Martin's: Take Rt. 15 to Rt 26 E towards Libertytown
• Turn left onto Rt 194 N / Woodsboro Pike
• Continue Straight on Rt 194 for 1.5 miles
• Turn left onto Frederick Street (just after Walkersville High School)
• Martin's (79 W. Frederick Street) will be on the left,
immediately after you turn onto Frederick Street.
